Kasilof Beach, AK July 2020

What started Rally AK's stewardship mission for the Last Frontier

Rally AK's mission to help Alaska was planted in our hearts during the summer of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many Alaskans, we had our travel plans redirected closer to home by travel restrictions, giving us a renewed appreciation for the incredible opportunities found right here in the Last Frontier.

That July, during the annual salmon dip net season at Kasilof Beach, we witnessed something that would change our lives. More than 24,000 Alaskans participated in the personal-use fishery, harvesting hundreds of thousands of salmon to feed their families and friends. It was a powerful reminder of the abundance Alaska provides and the unique opportunities available to those who call the 49th State home.

Unfortunately, we also witnessed the impact that so many people can have when stewardship is overlooked.

The amount of trash left behind was staggering. Dumpsters overflowed onto the ground, litter was scattered across the landscape, and the burden placed on the environment was impossible to ignore. Standing there, looking at one of Alaska's treasured places covered in waste, we were left with more questions than answers.

As a family, we could not accept that some of our fellow Alaskans had neglected their responsibility to care for the very resources that provide so much for so many. We believe enjoying Alaska comes with a responsibility to protect it. The simple principle of "Pack It In, Pack It Out" should be second nature to everyone who benefits from the Great Land's natural abundance.

That experience ignited a passion within our family to do something meaningful.

Rally AK was created from our love for Alaska and our desire to inspire a stronger culture of stewardship throughout the state. We wanted to combine the power of individual action with the influence of business to encourage Alaskans to take pride in protecting the places they live, work, and recreate.

Today, Rally AK designs purposeful apparel that sparks conversations about stewardship and supports efforts to improve Alaska's environmental health. Our mission is simple: inspire people to become active stewards of the Last Frontier and help preserve the lands, waters, wildlife, and opportunities that make Alaska unlike anywhere else on Earth.

Together, we can influence a new generation of stewards and ensure that Alaska remains wild, beautiful, and abundant for generations to come.
